FEES AND PAYMENTS
Gift ov life is not registered for VAT and as such we are not entitled to charge the 14% South African VAT.
Gift ov life Match & Management Fee * – paid to Gift ov life: ZAR 15 000 net
(International Recipients are not subject to any additional facilitation fees from Gift ov life)
Agency fee includes: Selection of a donor from Gift ov life's national egg donor program.
Specifically including: recruitment, agency required pre-screening of donor, personal recipient consultation (as requested), preparation and handover of donor file to fertility clinic, ongoing recipient & donor support during and after the egg donation process.
This once off fee is payable to secure the right to use a specific chosen donor for egg donation. Once the payment is received the donor is released to the clinic of your choice. In the unlikely event that the donor is found by the clinic to be unsuitable for egg donation, Gift ov life provide you with an alternative donor of your choice or a full refund.

PLEASE NOTE:
- Payment made with a credit card and Pay Pal attracts a 3.5% surcharge.
- International recipient matches are subject to an additional administration and handling fee of R500.
- If a chosen donor is required to travel from one region to another in order to receive treatment at your clinic of choice, no additional fee is charged by Gift ov life. You are however responsible for her associated travel costs. Please contact us at info@giftovlife.com for a current estimate of these costs.
Medical Procedure* – paid to the medical clinic: Estimated ZAR 25 000 to ZAR R55 000
Includes work up of the donor, medication for donor, donors blood tests, egg retrieval in theatre, theatre costs, doctors fees, anaesthetist costs, basic IVF laboratory fee, embryo transfer, scans, recipients medication and consultations. Each clinic can provide you with an upfront quote based on your specific requirements.
Additional fees could include: embryo freezing and storage, sperm freezing and transport, sex selection, genetic testing and other non-routine procedures.
*Please be aware that medical fees differ from one clinic to the next and this is a guideline of costs only. We are not associated with any one clinic in particular and will work with the clinic of your choice.
Donor Compensation – paid to the medical clinic: ZAR 5 000 to ZAR 6 000
The legislated amount compensated to donors is between ZAR 5 000 and ZAR 6 000. Donation in Johannesburg and Durban attracts a ZAR 6 000 payment to the donor and in Cape Town a ZAR 5 000 compensation. This amount, which donors receive as reward for their egg donation gift including their time, effort and discomfort. It is left by the recipient, in cash, with the clinic who hand it to the donor on the day of and after the egg retrieval. Some clinics request that Gift ov life receive payment from recipients and make payment to donors. Should this be the case, you will be informed of the clinic protocol in advance.
